Research Interest

I am currently working on the topic of natriuretic peptides (cardiovascular biomarkers) as predictors for type 2 diabetes risk and derangements of insulin and glucose metabolism using the data from BiomarCare consortium and a population-based study of KORA Augsburg.
As parts of my PhD project, I am also working on causality using Mendelian randomization approach and causal mediation analysis.
My research interests also lie in the field of clinical trials and pharmacoepidemiology.
