My current research focus is the attribution of heat-related mortality and morbidity observed over recent decades to anthropogenic climate change. This research has two main lines: studying temporal trends in heat-related health outcomes and investigating specific extreme heat events. As part of the first line of attribution research, I am also interested in better understanding adaptive processes that have changed vulnerabilities towards heat in the recent past.
