Research
Project Title:
Association of protein biomarkers with sarcopenia, sarcopenic obesity and their individual components
Research interests:
The overall objective of my PhD project is to further explore the pathophysiological pathways for the development of sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity in older adults. Further understanding the disease mechanisms and identifying more predictive biomarkers could improve personalised prevention, targeted diagnosis and early detection of at-risk individuals, while promoting healthy ageing.
Areas of interest:
• Healthy ageing
• Musculoskeletal health
• Clinical biomarkers
• Prevention of chronic diseases
