Research Interest
My research focuses on advancing patient-centered care by developing comprehensive guidelines for integrating patient preferences into medical decision-making algorithms. By addressing the gap in ensuring clinical decision support systems reflect both clinical evidence and individual patient values, this work aims to enhance shared decision-making and personalized treatment planning. The research combines systematic and scoping reviews to identify best practices and proposes a Bayesian decision-making model tailored for relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) as a practical application. This model integrates patient preferences with clinical data to generate personalized treatment recommendations, setting a foundation for more empathetic, transparent, and effective healthcare solutions.
The ultimate goal is to establish best practices and actionable guidelines that empower healthcare professionals and researchers to create more patient-centered decisionmaking frameworks.
