Project Title:
Allergic diseases from birth to adulthood – association with environmental exposures and comorbidities
Research interests:
My research interests lie in environmental epidemiology, allergic diseases, and mental health.
In my work I focus on understanding how outdoor environmental exposures shape the development of allergic diseases and their comorbidities. To do this, we define joint trajectories of asthma, rhinitis, eczema, and food allergies from childhood into adulthood using data from birth cohorts. Our aim is to link these trajectories to clinical characteristics and comorbidities and to investigate whether exposure to specific environmental factors influences the likelihood of belonging to particular trajectories.
