Research Interest

Project Title:
Process evaluation of a complex intervention in a municipal setting

Health promoting interventions can be considered as complex interventions. They often include various elements that interact with each other and the context they are established in. This raises the need for careful evaluation. Process evaluations investigate why an intervention works or fails in a specific setting. In my Ph.D. project, I conduct a process evaluation of a project in the Munich district Freiham that aims to reduce health inequalities in children using a mixed methods approach with an emphasis on qualitative methods.

Areas of interest:
Evaluation of complex intervention, community health, mixed methods, qualitative research
