Advanced Methods in Epidemiology
The course on Advanced Methods in Epidemiology aims to provide participants with knowledge on planning, funding, implementation, analysis and dissemination of results in the epidemiological studies. In addition to learning theory, students can test their acquired skills in practical exercises.

Prerequisites: Good knowledge of calculus and algebra, basic knowledge in epidemiology

Course Structure
Seminar – In the more theoretical part of the course students can deepen their knowledge of biostatistical and epidemiological methods. They learn how to design and interpret cohort and case-based studies as well as how to interpret scientific literature.
Exercises – Students conduct data analysis on the selected data sets using the knowledge obtained during the seminar.
