From Concept to Analysis
The 8-day block course "From Concept to Analysis" is based on the introductory courses "Quantitative Methods" and "Epidemiology and Research Design" and extends the insight into methods of regression modelling and its implementation in R to concrete scientific questions. The course prepares students for the specializations of the Master of Science of Epidemiology and is compulsory for all students in their 1st semester. The aim of the course is to enable the participants to independently design, implement, interpret and communicate regression analyses. These competences are often required in internships and research projects for the master theses.
During the morning session lecturers introduce into the methods while in the afternoon, students work together with the lecturer in R on their laptops analysing data.
